This panel aims to provide an analysis on the impact of the past year’s developments on the prospects for a political process toward reconciliation among Afghans. Key questions the panel will discuss include: What have the periodic civil society and Taliban meetings achieved? What is the result of regional and international engagement with the Taliban during the past year? What prospects for a political process can be envisioned and how will it be achieved?
